What will they think of next?
Although the “USB Toaster” above is really just a trick box, used to store real presents in, the Scan Toaster below was actually designed by Sung Bae Chang and entered in the Electrolux Design Competition.
The toaster scans news article, weather, and even comics and prints them onto your breakfast!
Check out the rest of these crazy USB gadgets.
For all of those wild and crazy office parties, there are a slew of devices to take your get-together to the next level.
The China Vision Drink Cooler/Heater
For margaritas, this blender will do the trick, and serves as an alarm clock!
For music, this drum set provides beats and entertainment. Think Rock Band or Guitar Hero-USB style!
Don’t forget the light show. How about a groovy lava lamp, flashing disco ball, or plasma tubes that change along with the music?
Afterward, you can clean it all up with the Dekcell USB-powered vacuum cleaner
USB powered mini office weapons? You got it! Canons, missiles, and air darts, oh my!
Here are some miscellaneous USB powered gizmos and gadgets. I’m not sure what kind of a category they’d go in.
Pencil Sharpener
Heated Coffee Mug by Road Pro (random, but convenient!)
Microscope (Just a guess, but I wouldn’t think this would provide the best quality)
How about this oxy-moron: an ash tray, shaped like a soccer ball. Now how many avid soccer players are sitting around smoking?
Here’s a blog that did a post in 2006 on the top 10 weirdest USB devices ever. Check out the #1 ranked device! Now that definitely is the strangest, and really makes you wonder “what on Earth could they possibly think of next?!”

Well the Microscope is sold at the price of a toy, but it is fantastic for use in the classroom. Students go nuts when you use it to magnify stuff on the TV or projector.
