When you think of balloon animals, “spooky” probably isn’t the first word that pops into your head. However, in the spirit of Halloween this might just change your mind…

Balloon artist Adam Lee constructed this giant arachnid over a period of 60 hours using 3,000 balloons. At 45 feet wide and 22 feet long, it sets the record for the largest balloon animal in the world. The spider is currently on display at Great Wolf Lodge in Mound, Washington.

Randy Sarafan over at Instructables has put together step-by-step instructions to make your own porch scorcher using nothing more than a pumpkin, a can of WD-40 and some (kind of) common household items. The best part is it can be triggered wirelessly so you can torch innocent victims from your couch! Please never build this.
