In Valle, Arizona there’s a theme park made after a town found in the popular cartoon known as The Flintstones. This real life town features all the popular things found in the actual cartoon, including homes of both Fred and Barney, and even the infamous dinosaur slide. This is a cool place to check out and popular among tourists heading home from the Grand Canyon.

  1. Wow. What a waste of money to build all that stuff. I can think of a few things more worthy to spend money on.

  2. I’ve been there. There were two other people at the time. Everything is broken down and the place is all crap. It is always as deserted as you see in these photos.

  3. Actually looks like a very depressing and sad place, how awful…

  4. wow that looks like the worst theme park ever. it looks so decrepit and old and run-down. BLA

  5. It’s a piece of the 1960’s and 1970’s tourist trap past. There was a similar place near Mount Rushmore in South Dakota, I was there in the 1970’s. It’s amazing this place in Arizona might still be around. What a run down decrepit mess. It makes me sad. On childhood vacations, my family always stopped at these sorts of places.

  6. That place sure looks lively.

  7. piece of shit

  8. that place looks so cheap, trashy, and dirty.

  12. I’ve been there too. It was closed in the middle of the day and we snuck in. It was pretty run down and this was in 2000. Even though it was run down, it was still cool and I think it is worth stopping in on your way to the Grand Canyon. It is someone’s work of art and tribute to the Flintstones. It’s also a reminder of happier times when people could afford to take road trips.

  13. Oh my, that looks a bit battered, but a real piece of roadway history. Have to say that I’d love to visit it.

  14. I`ve always wanted to BONE Betty.

  15. that looks like my dream theme park. The OPPOSITE of disneyland perfection - and NO gift shop!! wonderful.

  16. I loved this place as a child. I went there in 1977 and just thought about it because my daughter had a project to do. I am just happy to see that one of my favorite childhood memories is still a place.

  18. It is easy to bash this place because of all the great amusement parks that we have in the 21st century. But when I was young, around 1974, my parents drove out of their way to take me this park because I loved the flintstones. I never forgot going to this park, imagine it in the eyes of a 3-5 year old child. I was blown away and again flintstones were on every Sat. morning. This place wasn’t made for adults who are used to going to hi tech parks, it was created a long time ago for children who loved the flintstones. I recently saw a couple of slides my parents had from my childhood and I brought back memories of the slides taken at this park.

  19. i went here when i was a youngster. we were the only people there and they had a buffalo that looked like it was suicidal. the giant snake that you climb through is the best, no photos of it though.

  20. I loved the place it is run down but i love the Flinstones so it was really cool to look at.
