On April 16, Chris Raph — a 31-year-old bartender at the Shout House in Minneapolis, Minn. — was declared the fastest bartender in the world. He poured 662 cocktails in one hour, breaking the world record of 389. All of the 662 drinks had to be different with at least one alcoholic ingredient, one non-alcoholic ingredient, and at least three ingredients total. The record-setting drinks, numbers 390 and 662, were auctioned off to customers. Number 390 sold for $225, with proceeds going to charity. The event raised a total of $1,435 for a local charity, Finnegans Community Fund, which helps people fighting poverty.
