City living is terribly expensive, and most apartments simply aren’t worth the exorbitant expense. So, if you love the outdoors and hate paying rent, you can get creative like these guys.

Poor dude. My roommates always got the bigger, better bedroom too.

crisys_03

One downside to this place, nosy neighbors.

crisys_04

I’d hate to have to try to crawl into bed after a night out at the bars.

    @Snow Luca:

Why do you think the table on the ground has an umbrella?

  8. This is something that I might have to resort to.

  9. If you roll out of bed you’re screwed.

  10. Ha that’s pretty weird, what if it rains the stuff will rot, he prolly goes to Mcdonalds to take a crap every day, and the way he has some of that stuff holding up doesn’t look like it’ll hold for too long.

  11. RELAXING PLACE!
    Very nice! ihhih :D

  12. So when they tell their friends they’re just “hangin’ at home” they’re not kidding!

  13. Be a little hard to bring a girl back home. Also would be hard to have sex in the half-furniture that they have

  14. This is a disgrace. nothing but a poor, very poor excuse of slum. These people should be removed and some sense of decency restored. Who wants these bums outside their bedroom or living room window. Who pays if one of these bums falls and kills himself or injuries another on the ground.

  15. hillarious!

  16. You people are not very observant, they all have harnesses on, so if they ‘roll outta bed’ then they just hang to the wall, its no different than a bivy on a big wall climb, and im sure the title is misleading, and they probably own the building to be able to bolt furniture as well as rock climbing holds to the wall. probably not bums, rather some creative dudes.

  17. I think they live in the apartment above. Neat idea… 4/10

  18. Truly an imaginative fellow or gal ….i want one with or without harness just to worry previous reply!

  19. I’m guessing this is some kind of performance art. They’ve set all these up to take a few picture make a buzz, get people talking ya know.. First of all a monkey would know this is impractical, secondly the apartment owner would so not like it, city will shut them down for being danger to themselves and people walking underneath and generally being a bad example. So this is a joke (my estimation)

  20. What if it rains???

  21. Lol.. definitally Sobriety living! Cant imagine no matter the mortgage cost! slum living as someone said, look at the place thats an understatement, but they did say it was for the poor. too funny to see but not for me

  22. Outdoor Living | Offbeat Earth…

Well they had to live somewhere…

  23. I would like to know where this is, and what’s really going on in the pictures. Obviously, the two men aren’t homeless; the wall is painted a different color from the rest of the city, it’s had handholds and footholds bolted to it like you would see on a climbing wall, and the people have harnesses so that they can’t fall and break anything. Either they’re two of the most creative apartment owners on Earth, actors in a performance art work, or this is a strange, interesting hotel for tourists. Regardless, I think that it’s pretty cool.

  24. This is probably either something done for fun or an art piece. You idiots.

  25. Why did they get rid of the butt picture? It’s their apt. they should be able to have whatever they want hanging on the wall, everything else is. Definitely a statement.

  26. Reminds me of a short story in Asimov’s years ago; “Peaches for Mad Molly.” We’re looking for that story again, don’t have the copy or the date anymore. Those folks were outside of high-rises; it was scary just to read it but a wonderful story. Never thought I’d see anything even this close to it go live.

  27. Hahaha… this is madtastic!

  28. this is in brazil, rio de janeiro. and this IS an art piece. it was there just for a few days

  29. Some people wouldn’t know art if it hit them in the face. This installation is genius. The type of contemporary art that deserves proper recognition.

  30. Dear Rod Garnett,

If you had an IQ higher than that of a monkey you might detect a bit of sacrasm in the title and then maybe connect enough dots to determine that this is quite obviously an installation art project.

  34. wat an idea…

  35. abstract art.

  36. hey Rod, go fuck yourself. this is awesome.

  37. great~~~

  38. good picture !

  39. Artwork or not, it still presents itself nicely

  40. Sometimes ya gotta wonder about the people who view such things and think they are REAL… it’s a pity, ’cause they’re missing out on the sheer fun of the images and ideas!
