Japan’s Sapporo Snow Festival

The Sapporo Snow Festival is held in the month of February yearly in Japan. This famous Japanese festival draws millions of people every year and gets entries from not only regular snow sculptors, but also from other countries. This festival has snow sculptures of everything from everyday animals to popular cartoon characters and world famous buildings. This is something every tourist should see if visiting Japan in the month of February.

The ‘reddit aliens’ aren’t intended to be Reddit aliens, if that’s how you view them. The first three pictures (not sure about the fourth) are the butt-biting bugs, which is a quirky little japanese phenomenon called oshiri-kajiri mushi. Look it up on youtube.

I’m super beside myself because it started dumping near my house and that translates to snowboarding at the local resorts! In addition I bought a discount lift tickets pass for a load of snow resorts!
