Royale de Luxe, the French marionette street theater company known for their over-the-top spontaneous performances (like this one) is at it again. This weekend they staged a performance in their hometown of Nantes, France in which giant marionette scuba diver operated by cranes and a small army of assistants searches for his lost-at-sea niece.

Really cool stuff, but if I didn’t know what was going on and I looked out my fifth story window to find a giant puppet staring back at me, I might lose it.

  1. Really impressive!
But this event is everything but spontaneous. This must have been prepared a long time (alone building the puppets) and was for sure an organizators nightmare.
