Extreme Fishing
When I think of fishing, I think of a cold beer, a chair to lounge in and some quality conversation. It’s probably the only moment in my life where I can sit and wait, and not be tapping my foot the whole time. And if nothing happens I’m still okay. These men in South Asia, however, have taken fishing to the next level … times 50. Some say this is the original way of fishing. Others say it’s catching fish with your hands. Either way, this way is impressive — but it would definitely give me an anxiety attack. What do you think?

It’s not too bad, if you fall in you just swim back to shore. the sea isn’t that rough.
i usually spend about 3 hours a day out there and when its slow you can have a smoke.
it’s stilt or pole fishing, and found along the south eastern shores of Sri Lanka, specifically places like Unwatuna through to Tangalle. Poles and their positions are handed down through the generations. Great for photo opps as they are usually out at dawn and towards dusk with the sun setting over the ocean.
