72,000 Square Foot Home in Missouri
It’s not every day that the construction of a mansion attracts news attention, but then again this isn’t your average mansion. Under construction right now near the southern Missouri town of Ozark is a 72,000 square foot home on 500 acres called Pensmore. According to the home’s website, Pensmore is constructed of reinforced concrete and is designed to protect its occupants even if hit by an EF-5 tornado. It’s also designed to be all but impervious to fire, floods and earthquakes as well.
So, what type of person can afford to build what is basically a bomb shelter with 13 bedrooms and 14 bathrooms? According to the Springfield News-Leader, Pensmore will be the future home of Steven Huff, owner of a concrete company. Construction is expected to continue for another year or two; when finished it will be one of the largest private homes in the country.

[...] Re: Michael Moore's Massive Mansion Michael Moore's "mansion" looks more like some of the large home one might find in the Ozarks of Arkansas. I'd love to look inside it once it is completely built and furnished. 72,000 Square Foot Home in Missouri | Offbeat Earth [...]
