Dollars of Art

A picture is worth a thousand words … or maybe a thousand dollar bills. These pieces of art take inspiration from the American currency, transferring it into something beautiful. Whoever said that American money was boring anyways?

Drinking and Driving

I really hope this Dutch bar-mobile  tours in the United States. Instead of an ice cream truck playing “Turkey in the Straw”, I bet this thing cranks out Margaritaville and loud conversations. I would definitely chase it down the street, a wad of bills clutched in my hand.

Crazy Fans Take Sports to a New Level

Sports entertain people across the globe, but one thing that’s almost just as entertaining is the fans! While most fans have probably just had too much to drink, some have been planning their craziest-fan-ever debut for years. My only question is: Why is nudity usually on the agenda? I guess it doesn’t matter as long [...]

For the Wino on the Go

Camping isn’t exactly my idea of fun, but if I could make wine from a powder, I could at least pretend it was. Then again, I would probably need a full bottle of real wine to even have the courage to try powdered wine. What do you think? Would you drink it?

Babying Babies

Kids these days have it so easy, and I worry that they’re becoming too soft. Playgrounds are soft, padded and safe. Truly dangerous toys have been eliminated. I, for one, think it’s time to toughen these kids out, and I say start them young. These products are a good place to start.

Sleeveface

Old vinyl records have been making a comeback for a few years now. I wonder if it’s for the superior music quality or the enhanced fun people are having with the covers. There’s a Facebook group, a Flickr pool and a web site dedicated to “Sleeveface” - the art of blending an album cover into [...]

Paper Art Makes a Statement

Kiss those paper mache and origami days goodbye because there are plenty of other ways to turn paper into art. Some may call it green or say it’s a great way to recycle. Whatever you want to say about it, these pieces of art make bold statements, even with such a delicate material.

Go Naked and Fight Oil

This weekend, cyclists all over the world protested our dependency on fossil fuels by riding their bikes naked! The World Naked Bike Ride was first organized in 2004 and has since expanded to about 70 cities and 20 countries. While most people do ride completely naked, anyone is asked to join no matter what they’re [...]

A Failed Attempt to Fly Pigs

In Australia, pigs can fly! Well, almost. A Gold Coast radio station could face action from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) after tying about 200 helium balloons to a piglet in an attempt to make the pig fly. Several listeners complained after the station’s crew announced what they were [...]

Houses with Character

Ever get to know someone and then you go over to their house and realized something isn’t quite right? Here are a few houses that needless to say, have a lot of character.
